DCJ Attends the 3rd Continental Judicial Dialogue in Arusha

The Deputy Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, is among the dignitaries taking part in the third Continental Judicial Dialogue in Arusha,Tanzania.

The three-day meet is being held under the theme "Improving Judicial Efficiency in Africa."

The dialogue which is organized by the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights are deliberating on ways and means of cooperating on the promotion and protection human rights on the continent.

One of the recommendations of the colloquium is to organize such meetings regularly, and to involve national judiciaries as they are a key stakeholder in the protection of human rights.

At the same function, Hon. Lady Justice Solomy Balungi Bbossa will be giving a presentation on Normative and Institutional Challenges of accessing and using the jurisprudence of supra national and regional courts by domestic courts.
